Włodzimierz Kiciński
Vice president of the Polish Banks Association
In 1991, he began his career in the banking sector as the director of the foreign department at the National Bank of Poland. He participated in Poland's negotiations with the London Club and the Paris Club regarding debt reduction. From 1995, he served as the vice president of the board of Hypo-Bank Polska, and later as the vice president of the board of Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej.
From 2002 to 2011, he served as the CEO of Nordea Bank Polska, where he, among other achievements, led the merger with LG Petrobank. During this time, he also sat on the governing bodies of the Polish Bank Association (ZBP). In 2012, he took on the role of Vice President for Financial Affairs at KGHM Polska Miedź. In 2013, he was awarded the honorary badge "For Services to Public Finances of the Republic of Poland." Between 2015 and 2017, he was a curator at the Bank of Polish Cooperatives (Bank Polskiej Spółdzielczości SA) and a member of the Ethics Committee of the Polish Bank Association.
Since 2017, he has been the Vice President of the Polish Bank Association.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Trade at the Warsaw School of Economics and the Faculty of Mechanical and Technological Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. He also completed postgraduate studies at the Institute of International Trade Theory at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD Fontainebleau.
