Marta Postuła
First Vice President of the Board, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego
Prof. Marta Postuła, since 2022, has been an advisor to the board on sustainable development at the Brokerage House of the Environmental Protection Bank. Previously, she served as the director of the Department of Cooperation with Issuers at the same institution for six years.
She has over a decade of experience working in the public sector. From 1999 to 2016, she worked at the Ministry of Finance, where she led departments responsible for, among other things, creating strategic documents, coordinating activities related to the creation of the Public Finance Act, implementing socio-economic policies of the government, and evaluating the effectiveness of public spending in the public sector.
She has been a member of supervisory boards, including those of BGK, PL2012, Intercity, and SKM. Since 2020, she has been the head of the Department of Finance and Accounting at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. From 2016 to 2023, she served as the director of the Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Warsaw. At BGK, she oversees government and European market programs and initiatives.
Since 2020, she has held the title of Professor of Social Sciences, awarded to her by the President of the Republic of Poland. She holds a habilitation in economic sciences in the field of finance, as well as a PhD in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics.
She is the author of numerous books and articles in the field of finance, particularly in public finance and investment finance.
